Barbara Turcotte

Barbara Turcotte is a Clinical Coordinator and Researcher at Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine, but she did not start her career in medicine until later in life. Initially, Barbara liked working in production, so she started working sales and marketing by selling connectors to major airlines. Eventually she worked for Black & Decker in production control and sales of HeliCoils made for stripped spark plug inserts on car engines including Nassau cars. Barbara then worked as a Production Controller for Turbine Components that repaired blades and vanes for commercial, military aircraft and turbines that generated power for large companies. Barbara traveled a lot. After she decided to have children, Barbara returned to school for a career in medicine. Her background in production and her medical education and experience landed her at her current position as Clinic Coordinator and Researcher at the Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine Practice where she works with injured and ill workers from all kinds of occupations.
