The Coalition for a Safe & Healthy Connecticut is a coalition of organizations and individuals united in campaigns to protect the health of children, workers and communities by reducing toxic hazards. Together we work to reduce toxic chemicals that contribute to illness, disability, birth defects and infertility, and environmental harm. Our goal is to replace hazardous toxic substances with safer alternatives.

More than one third of the U.S. population is suffering from a range of chronic diseases, including cancers, asthma, autism, learning disabilities, endometriosis, Parkinson’s disease and others.
Scientific evidence increasingly indicates that toxic chemicals contribute to this epidemic of diseases and disorders and that children are uniquely vulnerable to health damage from toxic substances.
